He walked away
Leaving her standing there in a daze
She stared as the man she loved
Walked down a known road
To an unknown place
Leaving her behind
She calls out his name
But he doesn't hear
She watches him go
Her heart bleeding from the pain
She shields herself from the world
From its cruel sympathy
From the ones shes hates
To the ones she loves
She wants to leave them behind

She smiles a sad smile in her sleep
A wounded heart left to bleed
He fades away in nightmares
He comes back in dreams
Memories of his smile taunt her
The thought of his caresses haunt her
She hasn't lost count of how long its been
Suddenly he returns in a blaze
So long hes been gone
That he thinks she is wed
As he watches her play wit her child
Not knowing it to be his all this while
He walks away
Never to come back
